Mattawan Model United Nations is an official club at Mattawan High School in the Mattawan Consolidated School District in Mattawan, Michigan. Coached by the internationally-renowned Mr. Jonathan Waldron and led by the capable Andrew Stinavage, the selectively chosen group of elite students represents the school and a randomly selected country at various competitions around the state. The club enjoys a very successful track record including multiple best delegate awards, honorable mentions, and distinguishments. Many students enjoy the fact that our highly-ranked public school thoroughly destroys a large quantity of private educational institutions.
Members are expected to maintain a high degree of academic excellence and current and historical world knowledge. They must also be excellent researchers and very dedicated. If a student can endure the preparation for the conferences, however, he/she will get to experience top quality overnight hotel stays, exciting and stimulating committee sessions, and great friendships with others sharing the same interests!
